Kyle Balda is a BAFTA nominated feature animation director who has worked in the industry for over 20 years, most notably with Illumination Entertainment and Pixar Animation Studios.
He began his career in the early 90's at Industrial Light and Magic where he animated on such films as The Mask, Mars Attacks! and as supervising animator on Jumanji.
After animating the Grim Reaper for Peter Jackson's The Frighteners at Weta Digital in New Zealand, Kyle returned to California to work at Pixar on A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc. and as directing animator of Toy Story 2.
Following a number of years conducting 3D animation masterclasses at renowned European and Asian film schools and directing short form animation projects, Balda returned to feature production in Paris as the head of layout for Illumination's Despicable Me followed by a codirecting position on The Lorax. Kyle has most recently held the role of director Minions with partner, Pierre Coffin. Balda is presently directing alongside Coffin once again on Despicable Me 3 which is due to release Summer 2017.
Neth Nom is an animator and director with a decade of industry experience. He has contributed as an animator on numerous films, including Toy Story 3, Brave, Monsters University and Bolt, at studios such as Pixar, Sony, Rhythm & Hues and Disney.
He also animated for Oculus Story Studio's first short film, Lost, and directed a VR game entitled LilyPad. Most recently, Neth was the lead animator at PullString, an entertainment and technology company.
Neth currently works at Soba Productions as the writer and director for the animated short film, Sonder, and is an instructor at Academy of Art University.
